How can I book a car?


You can either book it online through our easy booking system, or you can contact our reservation department   +995558495909 . Also you can send us an email with your request or visit our city centre office.

What documents do I need for renting a car in Tbilisi?


To hire a car in Tbilisi/Georgia one should present a driving license with validity for at least one year and a valid passport. The driving license data must be written in Latin letters.

International Driving License is required for the US citizens.

How long does it take to prepare all the paperwork of renting a car with TravelCar?


When a reservation is done through the website, our reservation department always gets in touch with you requesting driving license and passport in order to provide the express service. So, when you arrive to the location all you need to do is to sign the contract, pay for it and take your drive.

For those who just walk in, make their choice and decide to rent, the paperwork takes from 5 to 10 minutes.

Do I need to pledge a deposit amount?


There is always a deposit amount required when renting a car.

The amount may vary depending on the rented vehicle. “Travel Car” blocks the sufficient sum on your credit card.

When the money blocked on the card as a security deposit will be refunded?


If there is no loss or damage identified according to the delivery/acceptance protocol, the deposit amount will be returned to your bank account within 14 working days.

What are the age requirements?

The renter must be at least 21 years old and in a possession of a driving license valid for at least one year.

Do I have to make a prepayment when making an online booking?


There is no need for your credit card details as prepay online system is not activated right for the moment. Pre paying online will give a chance to save on early bookings for those customers who plan their trip quite early.

We build our relationship with customers on trust. All we ask is to inform us about the cancellation at least 48 hours in advance so as somebody else can enjoy the drive in stunning Georgia.

What are the acceptable payment methods?


All the major payment modes are acceptable: (credit cards – Visa, Amex, Mastercard, and Dinner’s Club), bank transfer and also cash.

Is there any mileage limitation when hiring with TravelCar?


Good news!! You will always have unlimited mileage included in the rates.

Can I book an exact car model?

Reservations are accepted only for the car groups. Although we always try to meet our customer's needs, however we cannot guarantee any exact car model.  

Are there any extra services to make my rental more comfortable?

Of course yes. Our mission is to make your car rental more comfortable. To learn more on the additional services please follow the Additional Services

You can add additional services to your rental package on line or send an email.  

Are there any possibilities to modify an already confirmed reservation? website gives you the opportunity to modify the existing reservation. Nevertheless in case if you face any kind of difficulties you can always delegate this to us. Reservation department of “Travel Car” will modify your reservation based on the request and send the new confirmation number to the customer.


What do I need to do if I got an accident?


May God forbid if you got an accident. Nevertheless if something like that happens, the first thing you need to do is to contact us on the emergency numbers (provided with the Rental Agreement), inform the “Travel Car” and the insurance company.

Our team will guide you through the whole process of the accident.

If the vehicle is damaged and cannot be driven any more, you will be provided with a replacement service.

Can I rent a car in Georgia and drop it off in Armenia?


One way rentals from Georgia to Armenia and vice versa are possible with “Travel Car”. You need to book this service at least 48 hours in advance.

Are there any extra charges for delayed deliveries?


We, of course, realize that under some circumstances you may delay your rental delivery. Thus “Travel Car” gives you a grace period of 1 hour, during that period no charge will be applied. At the same time we cannot deny the fact that this delay may cause another delay to another customer. Hence we kindly ask you to organize the delivery in a timely manner.

Additional fee of 25 GEL will apply for the 2nd delayed hour.

Full day amount will be charged in case of delay for more than 2 hours.

Do I have any limitations when driving outside of the country?

According to the rental agreement there is no restriction while driving through Georgia. A special permission is required for driving to Armenia, such permission can be assigned upon your request with an additional fee according to TravelCar price list.


How is the process of delivery/acceptance handled?


A delivery/acceptance protocol is being signed only after the car check up with the TravelCar representatives. The car is always delivered to the customer clean and with a full tank of petrol.

At the moment of return “Travel Car” representative checks the vehicle according to the existing delivery/acceptance protocol. The car must be returned in the same conditions, taking into consideration its natural tear and wear.

What do I need to do in case if my flight delays?

Usually all the airport reservations should contain some flight details according to which “Travel Car” is booking and checking the arrival information, so if your flight is delayed you can rest your mind, because our agents will be there on time of your arrival.

Can I return the car to any other location?


Of course you can. You have the flexibility of pickup and drop off service.

How can I find “TravelCar” agents at the airport?

We provide Meet and Greet service at the airport.

Our agent will meet you with a smile on his face and with a special designed TravelCar sign.


What shall I do if I see some warning lights on the screen?

If you notice any warning lights you should immediately contact our technical support team.
